Hello i am assigned to a site for overhaul of the existing network configuration of SBS.

Please could someone tell me a step by step procedure to allow for the following on my network:

1) Linksys Router WRVS4400N (Need wired and wireless access for users)
2) SBS 2003 Server has 2 NICs so need to seperate subnets, public IP and internal IP, DNS WINS etc.
3) Will the router or SBS 2003 be the DHCP in this configuration?
4) Need to have RWW, OWA, RDP access to Server. Do I allow this in SBS Internet Connection Wizard and open ports (which) on router?

Chris -
I'm very new to SBS, but I can tell you that ALL your questions are already answered on this site...See the Articles on the left hand side and start clickin'/readin'. The Magical M&M's and several others will hold your hand while you set up your server.

Quickly

1 - Setup like any router but for specifics you will have to read the Linksys manual for step-by-step setup. If you run into problems post a question in the proper forum.

2 - NIC 1 = External NIC --> Router/Firewall/Modem   NIC 2 = Internal Local Network

3 - Let SBS handle DHCP

4 - USE THE WIZARDS!!!! PORTS = Read my friend...

Have Fun...

Tony
