I am trying to add a new user / PC to my SBS2003 setup and it is failing during the \server\add computer bit. The computer is connected ok and I get email, web and file print access, however whenever I reboot the PC there is anothre user there called __sbs_netsetup__ i dont know the password for it so I cannot log on as it - any ideas?

Yes, however it went throught the wizard to the point where it would normally load the files and then failed stating please ask the system administrator!!

Since then I have changed the password under computer management and logged on as that user - nothing happens so I dleted the user. The workstation seems to be connected fine, however Outlook 2003 did not load.

Try to unjoin the client, delete and recreate the computer account on the server and rejoin again using the connectcomputer wizard.

We have joined the branch office to our SBS 2003 Headquarters and have the same user experience on the branch office as we have on our local  network at the Headquarters. Want to know how? In order for the client setup to work properly, the user must be a local admin on the workstation. After the client environment has been configured, the user can have the local admin privs removed, but the client setup will not work otherwise.

Also, that "extra" account is a special domain accoun the setup process uses to join the PC to the domain, etc., during the reboot process. Once the client PC has been set up correctly, you can delete the profile for that user on the PC.

HTH...
