very strange!, I did the following stupid thing. I switched the cables from the local area network with the one that connects to the router and then runthe connect to the internet wizard and restarted the computer.
After that no Dhcp . switched back the cables and with some trouble DHCP started again.
But the big trouble is that in the network I can see the clients but I cannot see the server and therefore the syncronizing MY DOCSs doesn;t work. I tried to run the wizard for redirecting the My docs but there is a problem saying that it can not be done and that I should use the GPO policy to attend that.
What should I do?
Urgent please
Ovidiu

Also the WINS is not working any longer. Somehow I think this all thing is connected to WINS. with which I got some message that is working but in fact in MMC is not.

Hi Avieritei,

The external nic doesn't need WINS and it should have NetBIOS over TCP/IP disabled.
Check that the internal nic has Client for Microsoft Network, File and Printersharing and TCP/IP enabled and check that it is first in the bindingorder. Then rerun CEICW.
