Ok going to try and explain what is happening.

Company has two sites connected by a VPN connection.

Main site is running Small Business 2003 server with the ip address range of 192.192.192.*.  VPN connection is through a router 192.192.192.253 and there are routes in place pointing information to the other domain.

External site has no server a hub with workstations.  The network address range for this external site is 192.192.193.*.

At the external site you can connect the workstations to the domain of the main site (which is what they want).  You can access shares, you can log onto the domain and recieve emails from the SBS server.

From the main site you can offer remote assistance from the main domain, you can remotly login to the workstation.  Infact to all intense and purposes it seems to be working.

Until you come to manage the computer from the server.  When you try to manage the computer from the server it fails saying that the path to the workstation cannot be found.  You cannot install the centrally managed antivirus from the server to the workstation as the antivirus cannot see the workstation.  Even though it is there in all the domain lists.

What are we missing?  Pings, trace routes almost everything seems to be working ok.  But we cannot roll out the antvirus to these workstations?

All advice greatfully recieved.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Calvin,

Please, post an ipconfig /all from the server, a workstation and a remote workstation. Open a command prompt by opening Start -> Run from the Start Menu and type cmd. From the command prompt type ipconfig /all >ip.txt. Attach this file to your answer.
