Subject: COmpter won't reboot after WSUS update

WSUS updated client W2k SP4.  User did not allow PC to reboot.  User closed PC down last night.  Came in this morning switched on, and the PC is just recycling.  It gets to WIndows2000 screen, bar goes across then it blue screens with an error, but it is only on the screen for less than half second, so can’t read what it says.  Tried last known good menu, that just kept recycling without blue screen.  Tried safe mode and that just keeps recycling without blue screen.

 What would be the next logical step to resolve this issue?

Updates applied were KB890046, 918118, 920213, 924667,925902, 926436, 928843, 930178,931784,932168,935839, 935840

I have been trying to read the message and it says something like "the regisrty cannot load the hove file"

Have you tried a safe boot? Else you might try a repair.
