Dear Experts,

Query: is it possible for a local and domain account profiles on a host to conflict with SBS 2003 standard edition server?
The network is slow to fetch web pages from the internet and I am wondering if having setup the PC to login via local or domain accounts is this playing a role.

BACKGROUND INFO:
I connected a PC (WINXP Pro) to the server domain in order to use RWW to get access to that machine over a week ago now. This was done via the wizard setup.
The PC had originally not been setup to fetch a domain profile. it logged in under its own profile and got its network settings dynamically from the server (DHCP).
I still need to migrate the older local profile to the new domain profile. To do ...

QUESTION:
Given that while at the office I login to the PC under the local profile of the PC (all my preferred settings are in that profile), does this impact on the SBS server performance as a result. I only login to the PC server domain profile when out of office.

Note both the local login profile account and server domain login account are different names. for example local login might be "reception" while for RWW the login account would be say "externalreception" when accessing the server profile.

The Problem:
The network is slow to fetch web pages from the internet and I am wondering if having setup the PC to login via local and domain accounts is this playing a role.

regards,
Will.

How did you join the client to the domain? I see that you stated:

"I login to the PC under the local profile of the PC (all my preferred settings are in that profile)"

If you had joined it with the http://sbs/connectcomputer wizard it would automatically copy all the settings.

How is your network set up? Are you using DHCP?
