I just setup a fresh install of XP Pro with SP3.  RWW isn't working.

I do know about the problem of Microsoft Terminal Service ActiveX control being disabled.

But....when I go into the IE add-ons to enable it - it isn't there!  I assume when a pre SP3 machine uses RWW for the first time it is downloaded.

How can I get it?

There was a recent article on this site that addressed the issue.  Please let me know if it does not resolve your problem.

Jacob,

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, I have already seen that article.  When I go into there to enable it isn't listed......what I need to know is how to download it so I can enable it.

This workstation was NEVER connected to RWW before SP3 was installed.

Thanks for any ideas you have.

I've seen that. If XP hasn't had a chance to RWW prior to installing SP3 then that link above doesn't solve the issue. Try this, go to the Advance Tab in IE and click on Reset. Let it reset all the IE settings back to the defaults. Then RWW in and click on the PC you want to connect to. You will get that popup that says the security settings are blocking you, but you should also get that yellow bar asking to install an ActiveX control. Go ahead and click on that bar and let the Active X install and ignore that security popup.

Stan,

Thanks for your advice.  I tried it without any success.  I did get the yellow bar asking to install the ActiveX control and that security popup but it still wouldn't let me login.

Any other ideas?
