I seem to have a problem with DHCP assigning leased addresses to new workstations and attempting to 'steal' addresses that were previously assigned. Before I migrated to SBS 2033 from SBS, I was using static IP addresses for all workstations, but thought DHCP would make my life easier. I noticed that in my address pool, the address range for distribution covers all of my IP addresses 192.168.34.1 - 192.168.34.254. Does that mean that DHCP will try to assign an address even if it has already been assigned as a static address?
I have also noticed that DHCP is showing 'BAD_ADDRESS' for certain IP addresses. What does that mean? Can I safely delete those entries?
Any help gratefully received.
