hi,

I have a laptop with vista business. which has worked without a problem for the last 3 months. Then one day it started to give me problems.

1. I can not open any internet pages by name. They will only open if I put in the ip address. The same goes inside my lan. I can ping my SBS2003 server with ip address but not the name.  The ipconfig is correct, as the setup had worked on this machine. I have 40 XP pro machines and they all work.

2. I can only log on to this laptop if it is not connected to the network. If connected to the network I get this error message:  "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship".
So I just unplug the network cable and log on and then plug the cable back in, so I can browse my network drives etc. I can receive emails, log on to msn, skype

Some have suggested that rejoining the laptop to the domain.

ideas?

thanks
