I have had a WS that required a fresh install of the OS.  On the server removed this WS. Have put it back on the server using the same computer name.  Now it doesn't want to reinstall the client applications.  Suspect there must be a registry entry that is showing the applications as already being installed.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the applications install on this WS?

Thanks

Bill

Hi William,

Did you use the Add computer wizard to add this computer and did you run the servername/connectcomputer on the client?

Marina Roos Smallbizserver.Net AdministratorMission accomplished. Marina,

No on both questions.  I have never used either on any of the WS have ever added on a domain and never had this problem before.  I have done a bunch of research on applauncer and am starting to better understand the real process that takes place.

I still believe it may be related to the fact that this WS was on the domain previous however, I remove the computer from the server and this is a new image on the WS. The origional image was hit by a virus that self generated itself so rather then fight with it and waiste a bunch of time I just installed a clean image.  I did use the same computer name with the new image when I joined it to the domain.

I will try the \\servername\connectcomputer and see if this does anything for me.
