Hi,

I have a few users who connect to my system via RWW - i wish to audit the times they connect in order to set a remote access policy based around their work requirements.

how can i get the information to show date, time, duration log off time etc etc.

thanks

Peter -

The internal tracking of RWW is very limited, and while this information is tracked, it's very difficult to locate. You may want to look at a third-party solution to help, and a new product for the SMB space is RWWProtect from Scorpion Software (http://www.authanvil.com/rwwprotect/). I've been using RWWGuard for a couple of years now to help track my own RWW access, but RWWGuard looks like it will address what you're looking for. And the price is right.

Thanks, i will look into it. However i dont really want to spend any money as i am only tracking a few users. so even if its tricky iwould like to find a way to track them on the native system.

->based around their work requirements<- If it is just a few users, why don't you just ask them what their work requirements are?

Peter -

as far as I'm aware, there are not any tools that will currently track total access time, as the web interface only tracks the initial web connection, not when the connection was dropped. RWWProtect, which is free BTW, will get you a much easier way to access the initial connection information, but as I understand it there's just not a way to track the lenght of time someone is connected.
