hi i tried searching as well as reading SBS Unleashed (great book thanks to Eriq) but can't seem to find the solution.

Delegated mailboxes with our second domain name (added via receiving policies) won't open in Entourage 2008.

They would appear connected but would not have an opening triangle. Displaying delegates in properties won't work either: busy cursor.

any thoughts?

Hm. I haven't run across this scenario yet. I'll see if I can replicate the setup in a couple of days and let you know what I find. Can't promise that I'll be able to get to it any quicker than that.

Hi Eriq, did you have a chance to run such setup? if you need any feedback pls let me know.

also i have setup my leopard macbook according to your scenario in the book, however every time i run entourage 2008 i am getting same msg:

Unable to establish a secure connection to sbs.mycompany.local because the server name or IP address does not match the name or IP address on the server's certificate.

any idea what to tweak to get rid of it? not that its bothering but is a little annoying.

I haven't had a chance to replicate the different domain issue yet, simply have not had time. You will get the error regarding the security certificate name mismatch when you use the public DNS name to configure Entourage to point to the internal server and connect internally. The error is slightly correct in that if you configure Entourage to point to mail.domain.com, but the internal server name is sbs.mycompany.local, the verification will fail because the names do not match. But it doesn't mean the connection is not secure or encrypted.

The Mac Office team doesn't have a good story on this, and by the time I brought it to their attention in the beta, the could do nothing about it.

If the Mac running Entourage is only ever going to be used internally, change the Entourage config to match the internal name of the server. I've got to do some updates for my Entourage 2008 docs, but have not had the time.

Sorry, I just have not had a chance to try to repro this, I've had too many other irons in the fire that have needed attention. I will get to it as soon as I can, but it'll be at least a couple of weeks before I have a window where I could even attempt this.
