Dear Visitor,

As you can see the site has been renewed and upgraded to the latest version (3.12) of Dotnetnuke. Unfortunetly I was unable to upgrade the old YetanotherForum to the level that it works without any problems. Instead of the old forum the new forum runs on Active Forums. Because of this the old postings are not available in the new forum. For your reference I have created the old site on http://forum.smallbizserver.net. (As per April 04, 2005 the old forum has been deleted because nobody looks there). You still need to login to see the old forum. You can no longer post in the old forum, please the new forum.

Regards

I am having trouble downloading your new website from behind our SBS 2003 Prem. Server. It loads reeeeaaallly slow. I have Panda Business Secure with content filtering on ISA server enabled could this be causing the slow download.

PS The new site looks great but I have to access via a standalone PC.

I really don't know. I can look at my site from any place, even from customer sites where SBS is running. I think you need to contact Panda, there is really nothing special on my site

Congrats on the move - DNN is a great product and sits well in my intranet enviroment. Just out of interest is there any reason why you went for Active Forums rather than the DNN forum/blog module? Still waiting for a gallery app before I can roll out...

Hi Mariette;

This is an excelent improvement over the previous site but the previous forum had some right gems of info that you kindly left for search only.

Any chance of bringing it back? how about doing a survey?

Regards

Hi,

The old forum is a problem I am looking into. The fact is that those guys from Yetanotherforum hardly develop anymore which means that I will have major problems when I want to upgrade DNN. There is going to be a Forum\Blog that totally integrates in Dotnetnuke and will be a part of the core. This will be my choice and I am testing this on a beta site together with Marina.

You have to be patient because I do not want to switch anymore after the upcoming switch. I want to keep the forum for years and years as a reference for everybody.

I just installed a new editor that also a spellchecker in it. This seems a success. You cannot see all the possibilities if you are logged into the site as registered user but we as administrator have tons of new functionality.

Regards

Hi Mariëtte,
i have a question:
the main page off your site contained a list of "last 10 items added to the forum". This information is not available anymore, i really liked the feature. I frequently checked the site to see if any new and interesting questions/additions were added. Is this possible at another page in the site? i really don't have the time to browse through all forum items to see/check if someting new was added.... (new topics i mean).

regards,
pim

The information is still available if you are logged into the site. I am still looking at all possibilities. If you want to know what is new on the forum just go into the forum and click on Not Read.

Remember, the site is running a beta version of ActiveForums. I get almost 2 new builds daily that I install and review.

Ok Mariëtte, i will definitely take the extra trouble of login into the site: the content is really worth that little extra ! Besides, someone has to promote single nicced SBS installations over here
good luck patching/upgrading/testen/taking pills against headaches and other beta related stuff
