I am reading up on defining MS-Exchange 2003 policies. Specifically those relating to Mailbox Stores.

What I want to acheive is a global retention policy primarily for Deleted Items buckets & Sent Items. Secondarily apply Default Archival options for all mailfolders. At present users play with their settings for example disabilng Archival on Deleted Items.
Firstly does anyone have any comments on real-gotchas and pit falls?

Secondly does anyone have ay good ideas or tips please?

I have enabled the options to see Adminstratove groups. As far as I can see the first thing to do is create a System Policy Container, and then within that Create The Mailbox (or Server or Public Store) policies and set the options. The MS Text implies that you can play about with to your hearts content before setting this 'live' is this true?
Thanks,
Paul
