Hi,

I have users who's mail boxes occaisionally get jammed by bad mails. This I think only happens to the pop3 accounts they have set up for their alternative email addresses. The symptoms are that the outlook update fails (hangs on a particular mail) and some times other mail items will donwload over and over again. I suspect these are corrupt mails of some type, the accounts in question are heavily spammed. The solution I have found is to access the account via webmail and empty it.

Is there a way to avoid this situation? Is it a fault with Outlook? If so is there a patch? Does anyone have any tips for preventing this?

thanks
Columbo
