I have a number of SBS 2003 clients who have multiple email accounts of varying types (SMTP, POP3, IMAP).  I want to set the server is set up to retrieve all of these via either the SMTP service or the POP3 connector (or other method for IMAP?).

Questions:

1) Can I set up a custom IMAP account and retrieve AOL mail for the clients or must this be done as a separate account in Outlook outside of Exchange?

2) I can use rules to sort incoming mail into corresponding folders for each account but if all their email accounts are initially delivered into the user exchange Mailbox folder in Outlook how can the user specify which of these accounts they wish to send from when sending a new mail? In the Accounts drop down box in Outlook the only option is Microsoft Exchange Server.

Any help gratefully received.

You would create a new POP3 account in Outlook.
Then go to Send-Receive Sttings and edit the All accounts profile, and set these POP3 accounts as send mail, but not receive (since you are already receiving them via the POP3 connector).
