Hi all,

Having installed SBS 2003 in my house for email etc, everythings fine as per other installs I have done after a few tweaks etc apart from 1 thing.
When I send an email to my friend who has an address that ends like @blueyonder.co.uk I get an undeliverable message back like this:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:    RE: test

      Sent: 13/04/2008 10:41

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

      Kevin on 13/04/2008 10:41

The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I did have blueyonder.co.uk as the default domain by mistake which I have changed to mine youcanavit.com, however the problem still exists.

Any help welcome

Thanks
Mark

I'm not sure I understand your setup but you can also see use the smtp diag tool to check the recipient addresses and some other things. You can get the tool here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=bc1881c7-925d-4a29-bd42-71e8563c80a9&displaylang=en

Best of luck to you

Hi Barry, thanks for the link which I tried with a pass on all objects.

Not sure whats different to my setup to others, however the object I am referring to is the "Default SMTP Virtual Server Properties" box where you set the domain under Delivery then Advance.

I know when I send other email all is ok, it appears to be blueyonder.co.uk that has the problem.

Hi Mark,

Having set the blueyonder domain as default in the beginning, is the culprit here. Go into ESM, Recipients, Recipient Policies and right click the Default policy. On the second tab remove the blueyonder domain.
