I have one tech savvy user who has managed to share three of her calendar views, and also her entire mailbox in Outlook 2003 with everyone in the organization.
Is there a way to undo all of this without going to every user's mailbox profile on every machine and removing her mailbox?
It seems that I should be able to manage this in Exchange. But, when I go into %servername%, then Mailboxes, then Exchange tasks, I am getting an error message, having to do with creating a log file (probably having to do with folder redirection).
Is this where it should be managed?
Thanks,
Dawn

| Why can't the tech-savvy user simply unshare the calendars / mailboxes again? |

| We did have her do that, but it looked for a time as if others could still access, perhaps because the permissions had not yet been refreshed. But, now (the next day) it looks as if some of the same people can no longer see her mailbox and calendars. That's what we wanted. Thanks for chiming in. |

So, we thought this was fixed, and just learned that a couple of users can still see her mailbox. The person who shared her mailbox inadvertently swears she has removed all mailbox sharing in her Outlook client. Any reason to explain why others can see her Inbox? Anything I need to do on the Exchange side?
Thanks.

Hi Dawn,
Check the properties of that user in ADUC, Advanced View mode, tab Exchange, Mailbox and tab Security to see if those other users are added there, then delete those other users.

Hi Marina - Thank you very much for the reply. Sorry it took me so long to get back. Other projects.... In ADUC, in advanced view, under Exchange Advanced>Mailbox Rights button, I am not seeing the other users there. (I am hoping I am looking where you intended.) On the Security tab for the user, nothing obvious jumps out. I will continue to check her settings against others to see if I can pick up any differences. If I go into Exchange System Manager and pull up her mailbox, I can see users other than she last logged on to her mailbox. This is not the case for anyone else in the organization. |

Hi Dawn,
Yes, you were looking in the right places. If you don't see those users there, then she still must have shared her mailbox by herself and she must have given permissions to other users.

| Thanks again, I will explore it more from the Outlook client side when time permits. |
