I am following the instructions in KB324958 to Clean up Exchange Server SMTP queues.  I have refreshing the queues every 15 minutes for approximately 28 hours and the messages keep coming.

How long does this process take?

Any advice?

Can I stop this and complete the steps?

What are the alternatives?

i think if you enale the sender id filter - and select it so that the sending party is responsible for NDR's then this will help reduce the queues.

Hi Howard,

What is the problem that you are needing to do this? Are you retrieving email with SMTP or POP3?
