Hi all

SBS2003 premium with ISA 2003 installed.

Client wants to be able to use skype. I have read numerous postings on the web and looked at the skype admin. Nothing seems to be definitive, from opening port 80, 443 1024->65535 + secondary connections, plus mention of port 33033.

Well currently the Skype on workstations is blocked, has anyone any ideas hot to get this to work reliably. Yes I am also aware of the security risks of Skype, this is one thing that seems to be consistant when mentioned on the web. Though the client wants it and the client is always right.

regards

Hi Paul,

You don't need to do anything on the server to allow Skype. Do the clients have the ISA Firewall client installed and is it set to NOT autodiscover?

Hi Marina,

Yes the clients have the ISA firewall client installed and that seems to be working fine. Skype doesn't seem to want to play ball though. Could be down to an older version of Skype possibly.

Hi Paul,

Please, post an ipconfig /all from the server and a workstation. Open a command prompt by opening Start -> Run from the Start Menu and type cmd. From the command prompt type ipconfig /all >ip.txt. Attach this file to your answer.
Did you have a look at ISA life logging?
