Hi All,

A client of mine is contemplating restructuring their Network.  They have downsized their company and closed all but one of their Branch offices.  Accordingly, they do not want the cost involved with a Managed Firewall and VPN that is supplied by the ISP.

The main site is running SBS 2003 with ISA 2004 and the last remaining site has a local 2003 Server with a CISCO 877 Router with Advanced IP Services.

My question is this: As they will require a Firewall at their Main Office, should they look at a Hardware device such as a CISCO Firewall Router or should they utilise ISA 2004 (2 NICS) as their Firewall, and with that said, can the CISCO Router VPN into ISA 2004 using IPSec or PPTP and provide the with the same access to the entire WAN.

I have created many ISA to ISA connections for remote sites, but never with a Router to ISA.  Any Advice and Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Yes and No.

This is what we want to achieve, however, in place of the Windows 2003 Server creating the VPN tunnel from the Remote Branch, we want to use an existing CISCO Firewall Router?

Would there be any difference in the configuration of SBS 2003 and ISA 2004?

Your Help is greatly appreciated.
