have you disabled any of the default sbs rules?

go into isa management, monitoring, logging - run a query whilst an outlook client is trying to connect, you should see if ISA is blocking traffic.

Matt,

Once you install ISA 2004 a new certificate is generated by the wizard. Have those users go to OWA and have them install the new certificate on the laptop. That will fix it.

dont think can be a certificate problem? these are desktop computers who are domain members and on the internal lan. i spent hours on this last night and couldnt figure it out, in the end i uninstalled isa and as if by magic all the desktops reconnected.

i ran the ciew wizard a boat load of times too and all the sbs rules appeared to be in there ok.

confused...

Did you install all service packs and fixes for ISA 2004? There is an issue with one version of ISA 2004 and RPC traffic. That may cause this but I am not sure about it.
