I'm not sure whether to post this here or in the Exchange forum but here goes. We currently have SBS 2003 premium with ISA installed. We also have a DSL router with static IP that our ISP opens ports on for us whenever we need a port opened. We are going to be adding a Cisco firewall soon as an added layer of security. The other thing I will be doing is finally moving our email from POP3 accounts hosted by our ISP to our Exchange server.
My question is, is it better to get the firewall installed and configured first and then move the email or should I make sure I am not having any email problems first and then install the firewall. Can anyone offer me their opinion or suggestions on order of preference. I am worried about making the email transition a smooth one as everyone is pretty heavily email dependent here.
Thanks.
