Setup:

SBS 2000.

Exchange is setup to use POP3 connector to fetch emails from 1and1 who host our emails.

Emails are sent via our ISP servers ( currently pipex but have migrated to BT) using the SMTP virtual server.

Main ISP is down ( Pipex) so are using SKY as a backup.

The problem I'm getting is that all the emails users are sending are being queued up in 'message with unreachable destination'.
When I do properties of the queued emails I get the folloing error 'Unable to bind to the destination server in DNS'

I've tried run the Internet connection Wizard again but the problem still persists.

I'm able go to all the sites on the net through the server.

Also I'm able to ping all the sites also.

not too sure where to go from here.

Any guesses ions/assistance would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Hari

Try to telnet on port 25 to that server that your going to relay to and see what kind of response you get.
