Way back when we first set up OWA on SBS 2000, I issued our own security certificate from the SBS CA, and now we are getting a warning that the certificate is expired. I renewed the CA's authority but that didn't fix it. I haven't been able to figure out how to renew the certificate itself. Is there something I'm overlooking, or do I just need to delete the certificate and issue a new one? (And try to remember how I did it in the first place.)

Thanks,
Dave

you can just delete it and issue new,

or to renew

you need to load up the certificates snapin, from an mmc, find the OWA cert (possibly in local machine personal store) then you should be able to right click and request renewal.

or if that doesnt work, load up the CA mmc, and find the cert in there, and attempt to renew it there.

Thanks, Robert. I couldn't get it to work through the MMC, kept getting an error that I didn't have authority to renew it, so I dug out the original article I had used to set it up thinking I would have to create a new one. But when I clicked the Server Certificate button in IIS, the wizard opened up saying "You already have a certificate installed, would you like to renew it?" Done.

Thanks,
Dave
