Hi, Any help much appreciated.

one of our clients recently took delivery of 2 vista laptops which were joined to the domain using their previously working xp accounts. They're using Office 2007 which obviously includes Outlook 2007. The user is now complaining that it's taking a long time for the laptop to do anything at all and that the top left hand side of the window displays the is not responding for a good few seconds and then it seems to come back to life.

I've no real idea what is going on but it's obvious the user cannot continue to operate like this. Any help would be much appreciated otherwise I'll have to consider downgrading them to windows xp.

regards

Barry.

File transfer, copying, and network browsing is supposed to be addresses with Vista SP1...supposedly coming out Feb '08.  As well as the delay with the login, and a few other things we usually disable anyways...response time coming out of suspend/hibernation, etc.

just for info really,

I've capitulated and downgraded both laptops to xp sp2. they're so much faster although (and it's most likely my own doing) I've some minor niggles with exchange and public folders.

but thanks for all the help.
