Hi There,
I THINK(?) i know what this is, but dont know what todo about it:
We have a SBS 2003 server running our network. My laptop's XP install died so i have installed Vista Business. This is gone well, connected to the server now and all is good. However, now im trying to connect to a SAMBA share on our network. I can see the server in the network browser, but when i try to connect i get this message:
\\DEV is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Conact the administratior of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
The user name could not be found
What i think is happening is that it is trying to login to this server with my SBS username (FirstnameLastname), but this server has a single username/password that used by everyone on the network.
I have tryed to map the network drive and choose "Connect using a different user name", but that does not work either.
Any ideas or pointers here?
Thanks!!!
Simon
