Running Vista Business on an SBS 2k3 domain. One computer is not allowing me to log in with my domain account. The local Administrator account works fine on that computer, as do other domain accounts. Error given is:

"The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied."

The local Application Log has the following events each time:

=======================================
Event ID: 1542
Source: User Profiles Service
User: SYSTEM
Level: Error

Windows cannot load classes registry file.
DETAIL - The system cannot find the file specified.
=======================================
Event ID: 6004
Source: Winlogon
User: N/A
Level: Warning

The winlogon notification subscriber failed a critical notification event.
=======================================
Event ID: 6001
Source: Winlogon
User: N/A
Level: Warning

The winlogon notification subscriber failed a notification event.
=======================================

Has anyone seen this before? Is there a solution? Again, this only seems to happen for my account, and only on that computer. We tried deleting the computer account from the server and re-adding it, but that did nothing.

Thanks in advance.

If this is still a problem I would wipe that workstations and reinstall. That is much quicker compared to trying to fix those problems.

Mariëtte Knap Smallbizserver.Net AdministratorMission accomplished. We have joined the branch office to our SBS 2003 Headquarters and have the same user experience on the branch office as we have on our local  network at the Headquarters. Want to know how?
