Yesterday I installed all the updates to sbs2003. Everything seemed to be working fine but today I received the following alert and I'm not sure where to look or what to do.

Alert on ****SVR at 7/19/2005 10:42:46 AM
The store.exe process is allocating more memory than usual.
Check to see if you are having problems with e-mail. If so, stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
You can disable this alert or change its threshold by using the Change Alert Notifications task in the Server Management Monitoring and Reporting taskpad.

Hi Delphia,

Check if that alert is really from today. Check the date in the message body. Sometimes an alert gets stuck.

Since applying the service packs, I've been receiving similar errors.  Tried the recommend option for the message, but it still arrives at the same time each day.  What could cause the message to get stuck as you put it ?

What anti-virus program are you using and how much RAM does the server have?

I had this after applying SP1,

This solved it nicely: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;843539
and the download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?amp;amp;amp;amp;displaylang=en&familyid=0fe89c95-e767-428c-8621-6a586c655ee3&displaylang=en

Hi Jack,

This is only needed if SBS 2003 SP1 hasn't been applied yet. If only Exchange SP1 is installed, you do need that patch.

Hi Marina,

I also have had the same problem after installing SP1. After installing the KB843539 patch the problem was solved.

But on the servers this happens I've got SP2 already installed.

Any further fixes for this ?
