I dont know how this happened but it appears that our sbs server has sp2 installed but not sp1.  Last night i tried to install sp1 and got this error

Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying.
There is no need to install this update.

Does this mean I have to uninstall SP2 and then reinstall SP1?  If so, is there more to it then just going to add remove programs and removing from there?

Hi Eric,

If you have W2k3 SP2 installed, there is no need to reinstall W2k3 SP1. But if you mean that SBS 2003 SP1 is not installed, you still need to install that.

Thanks.  Is it the same way with Exchange SP1, where if SP2 is installed SP1 is not needed?
