I want to use Intelligent Message Filter on our simple SBS 2003 set-up.  I have enabled it, the logging is all working OK and i think that it's working.  Questions:
  • We have distribution groups that (eg. contact@blah.com) which send messages to a number of users - at what stage will IMF filter messages as a lot of spam is getting through from distribution groups to users (even though the junk email SCL is set to 5).
  • I assume that all the junk email config in Outlook is client side only (which is fine for some situations, but we have mobile devices and we need to ensure that spam is filtered on the server side so that it doesn't reach the mobile devices)?
  • How can I see the SCL of individual messages to try to determine the optimum setting?

Help much appreciated, Will.
