I'm having a serious problem trying to use ntbackup.  When I try to start it through the start menu. server management, or the command line, the Backup program window appears, has an hour-glass  next to it for about 30 seconds, and then closes.  In the log I get the following error:

Faulting application ntbackup.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x0003002e.

I am running SBS 2003, and just upgraded to sp1 to try and solve the problem, but nothing changed.

Is there a way to just reinstall these files?

Thanks

What backup device do you use?

I'm backing up to an external USB drive.

Hi Brett,

Did you also install SBS 2003 SP1?
