Within the SBS backup wizard, there is a setting that asks how many backups do you want to save. It only goes to 10. I have a 1TB NAS that I'm backing up to, and the backups are only like 10GB, so I would like to increase that number. Is there a way to do it behind the scenes?

No, it is hard coded.

Actually, after some registry digging, I found the following registry key, but I don't know if there is a limit or not:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\smallbusinessserver\backup - and change the value of the "Backup Files" key.

I have mine set to 30, I will let you know how it works.

So far it's up to 13 files, so it appears to work. I will post back if it does not get to the 30 mark.

You could also use the advanced wizard mode and just set up different named backups to work every night. You could go up to one for each day of the month easily that way, but it does take time to type in all that shedule info.
